After starting the year with 2 losses the Express went on to finish the season going 26-1-2
finishing tied for the most points in a season among PEI U15 Teams since the league went
to 4 teams.
Individually, the Express was led by the league's Top Goalie Zach Clinton, the league's Top
Defenseman in Jackson Batchilder and the Rookie of the Year, Ryan Doyle.
Eastern Express has had to deal with adversity on and off the ice all season long and
overcome a handful of serious injuries throughout the year. The attitude was always "no
excuses", and "next man up". The depth of this team has just gotten better and better as the
year has gone on.
Four of our players finished in the top 10 in NB/PEI U15 Regular Season Scoring Race while
Goaltender Zach Clinton finished atop the league in GAA as well as Save% and finished with
a 14W – 1OTL – 2T on the season.
A balanced attack from all 4 lines and capitalizing on the opportunities we get will be key to
success this weekend. Enjoy the moments and the experiences – Atlantic’s don’t come
around often.
This will be the 4th time that Eastern Express has represented PEI at an Atlantic
Championship since the change in 2014/2015 including most recently last year when we
captured a Bronze.
